Targeted at medical doctors in Singapore, the Asia Pacific region and beyond, the graduate diploma aims to equip them with necessary management and business leadership skills. The programme curriculum was co-developed and will be taught jointly by senior physicians and leaders from SingHealth and senior SMU faculty, who are domain experts in the respective fields.
The launch event featured highlights such as speeches from the event’s Guest of Honour, the Permanent Secretary from Ministry of Health, SingHealth’s Group CEO and SMU’s Deputy President. A panel discussion comprising management leaders of SingHealth and SMU was also held, on “Achieving Excellence in Healthcare: Balancing Needs, Wants, Costs and Passion”. Touching on the importance of leadership and passion to excel, the panelists provided useful insight on the topic.
