Equipping Healthcare Professionals to Give Comprehensive Cancer Care

National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) – Singapore’s cancer medical specialist centre – conducts specialised training for medical, radiation and surgical oncologists; professionals in the medical, paramedical and nursing fields; as well as undergraduates.

Programmes at NCCS are designed to promote the understanding of cancer, facilitate accurate diagnosis, as well as research on prevention and treatment. Education highlights include:

Postgraduate fellowship programmes
NCCS gives fellows the chance to examine complex areas like surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, oncologic imaging and palliative medicine.

Expert teachers and trainers
NCCS houses Singapore’s largest pool of oncologists, and its team of experienced and knowledgeable oncologists-educators carries out its postgraduate training programmes.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)
Comprising various educational programmes – including seminars by international oncology experts – NCCS runs CME training, upgrading and refresher courses for SingHealth staff.

Accreditation of Cancer Specialists
Upon completion of essential education requirements, NCCS awards certification to local and overseas fellows who adhere to standard oncology care criteria, policies and procedures.

External Liaison Programme
Having established formal links with internationally renowned cancer institutions, postgraduate programmes at NCCS leverage on the cancer care and research expertise of distinguished oncologists around the globe.
