Postgraduate Residency Training Programmes
The Centre offers training programmes to prepare candidates for examinations leading to the award of Masters of Dental Surgery by the National University of Singapore (NUS). Residency programmes at the NDC are accredited by the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (United Kingdom) and NUS.
Undergraduate Training
NDC’s dental professionals contribute their expertise to the National University of Singapore's Faculty of Dentistry's undergraduate programme. Undergraduate dental students also benefit from the Centre’s experience and expertise through consultation clinics.
General Practice Programme
Through this programme, junior dental officers improve diagnostic and clinical skills. Other training aspects include dental radiography, emergencies and managing patients with special needs.
Continuing Professional Education (CPE)
NDC is a focal point for continuing dental education for the dental profession, offering over 150 hours of CPE activities annually through seminars, workshops and events. Equipped with a complete suite of teaching facilities, NDC offers an ideal venue for a wide variety of continuing education programmes.
Auxiliary Training for Dental Surgery Assistants & Laboratory Technicians
Dental surgery assistants and dental laboratory technicians are integral members of the oral healthcare team. They work alongside the dental surgeon in patient care. NDC partners with the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to train new dental surgery assistants and laboratory technicians within its approved training site. Both training programmes lead to the NITEC Certificate qualification that is locally recognised.
