The Fellowship / Clinical Attachment Programmes offer foreign doctors short-term attachments (6 -12 months) to undergo clinical training in the clinical departments. These programmes provide a comprehensive range of medical, surgical and clinical support specialty training.
Eligibility Criteria
| Language Requirement |
As the medium of instruction is mainly in English, applicants must be able to speak and write in English. |
| Minimum Eligibility |
Applicants should have the following:
- A basic medical degree (e.g. MBBS or equivalent)
- A minimum of 2 year’s postgraduate clinical experience
- Registration with medical council, minister or relevant licensing authority for practicing medicine
- Confirmed clinical position and teaching responsibilities in institutions in their respective home countries upon completion of training
Applicants are to note that admittance to training programmes does not imply eligibility for local or foreign postgraduate examinations and specialty training leading to registration as a specialist in Singapore. |
| Temporary Medical Registration |
Applicants participating in clinical management must obtain temporary registration from the Singapore Medical Council (SMC)*. |
| Training Pass |
As a training pass/permit is usually required for the duration of training, SingHealth institutions will assist in training pass application* upon SMC registration. |
*Please note that successful applicants are expected to bear the necessary fees involved in SMC and/or training pass/permit registration, training and administrative fee and all other fees. Fees are subject to change without prior notice.
