A four-year comprehensive training program, the Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Program at SingHealth is set to equip you with the necessary competence, clinical knowledge and surgical skills of a well-rounded obstetrician and gynecologist. We aim to provide a nurturing education environment with a range of clinical activities as well as protected training and teaching time to advance your academic and research skills.

Get to learn from and alongside seniors and mentors as you function as an invaluable member of the healthcare team, with exposure to labor wards and outpatient clinics. With comprehensive training, timely supervision, formative assessments and supportive mentors, you can expect to progress from one postgraduate year to the next with a graduated level of responsibility at each resident level.

Largest O&G Cluster in Singapore The largest O&G cluster in Singapore, SingHealth is well-established as a leading training centre for the field of O&G both locally and internationally. Our hospitals, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) and Singapore General Hospital (SGH), are major medical facilities that play a pivotal role in nurturing generations of obstetricians and gynecologists in Singapore.
Wide Exposure to Extensive Clinical Case-mix The leading and largest healthcare cluster in Singapore, SingHealth offers a comprehensive and extensive range of case mix in O&G. This ranges from routine and common garden variety cases to rare and complex entities encountered in the various subspecialties on a daily basis. Our institutions provide specialized care for women and babies and every year, over 500,000 women and children visit us as inpatients or outpatients. In addition, one-third of all couples in Singapore choose to deliver their babies at our institutions.
