Overview

A three-year robust training program, the Pediatrics Residency Program at SingHealth seeks to groom competent physicians with the relevant medical knowledge, clinical skill sets and right attitudes to care for young patients. Training curriculum comprises a fine mix of clinical activities, didactic lectures and research opportunities in a well-rounded environment.
With guidance from our faculty as your advisors-cum-mentors, you get to function as an invaluable member of the healthcare team and participate in various clinical activities.
Your responsibilities and independence as a resident would increase over time to promote professional development and growth.
The program is followed by a two to three-year fellowship training for general academic or subspecialty fellowship training that aims to prepare you to become pediatric subspecialists (subject to individual subspecialty training requirements) or hospitalists.

KKH is an 827-bed Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited hospital with a 365-bed dedicated children’s facility, including a 14-bed pediatric ICU, 28-bed neonatal ICU and Singapore’s first children’s Emergency Department. It is also a major pediatric teaching hospital affiliated with the local medical schools. |
