Overview

A robust one-year training program, the SingHealth Transitional Year Residency Program is designed to provide you with broad-based clinical training and prepare you for specialization.

This program would be suitable for you, if you:

	Have chosen a medical specialty for which the Residency Program requires a prerequisite year of fundamental clinical education
	Wish to seek one year of fundamental clinical education
	Wish to rotate to various specialties to assist you in making a career choice or specialty selection

During your transitional year training, you would have the opportunity to rotate to various clinical specialties, be exposed to a wide range of clinical cases and interact with different specialists from varying fields. This enhances your experience as a clinician and empowers you for specialized medical practice in the near future.

Academic Activities We have a large number of specialties and subspecialties coupled with a wide variety of academic activities including educational conferences, interesting case conferences, grey case conferences and topic reviews. The educational program during the medicine and surgery rotations is similar to those of categorical specialty residents.
