Providing the Ideal Learning Environment
The Computer Skills and Simulation Centre is a multi-purpose training facility where various types of simulation exercises and training programmes – from dry skills simulation courses, virtual reality simulation exercises to theatre-style workshops – can be conducted.
The Centre was chosen as the venue for prominent programmes such as the Neonatal Resuscitation Course, Joint Injection Course and Evidence Medicine Course.
Ideal for groups of up to 30 participants, the Centre offers a full suite of basic facilities such as a large-screen LCD monitor, flipchart and tablet arm chairs. Depending on specific training purposes, the Centre will arrange for advanced equipment to enhance learning.
The Centre has acquired various teaching aids to improve the learning experience. The Interwrite® Mobil System – the world’s first multi-user mobile interactive whiteboard system – enables collaborative learning between participants and allows trainers to closely monitor learners’ responses to accurately gauge individual progress.
Trainers can also make use of the interactive game design suite of software, which allows them to easily incorporate healthcare quizzes, contests and other interactive activities in class to optimise learning outcomes.
